Gedikpasa Hamami offers a unique Turkish bath experience, steeped in 550 years of history which was built to a 2350 square-meter zone in the old city part of Istanbul by the command of Gedik Ahmet Pasha in 1475, having a breathtaking 16-meter-high ceiling. Located just across from the iconic Grand Bazaar, this historic bath is not just a place for cleansing but a journey into the heart of Turkish tradition, be served in separate sections as men and women, with same-gender therapists' services and a variety of massages with a privacy service as an add-on. Upon entering the hammam, you’re greeted by the warmth of marble floors and the soft echo of water. The ritual begins with a relaxing steam bath, preparing your skin for the full exfoliation that follows. A skilled attendant uses a traditional kese (scrubbing mitt) to remove dead skin, leaving you refreshed and revitalized. What sets Gedikpasa Hamami apart is the option to combine your bath with massage options, enhancing the experience. After the scrubbing, foam massage in bubbles continues the indulgence, soothing your muscles and helping you unwind completely. Male and female sections are separated and same-gender therapists' service
Towels, single-use kese ( glove ), single-use underwear, slippers, and cosmetics are provided for all guests
All massage rooms are private except the foam massage which is applied during the hammam ritual in the baths
Halvet (private section fully closed with curtain attached to the main bath), the add-on can be added to any of the options listed
DIY (Do-it-Yourself) is a combination of a hammam entrance and its equipment without a therapist service, to enjoy yourself and a short demo will be given by one of our therapists
Sessions for ages 6-10-year-old children are with a softer scrub compared to adults and in a very foamy, fun-oriented way
Children under 6 years old are not permitted in the hammam. Guests under 14 may enter the hammam only when accompanied by an adult
