What To Expect

The medieval Galata Tower gives a fairytale feel to the hilly Beyoelu district on the northern side of the Golden Horn. The 67-meter-high stone tower, topped with a conical tiled bell tower and a golden crown, was built by the Genoese in 1348. Explore the open-air observation deck for a spectacular panorama stretching all the way to Sultanahmet, have dinner or a snack at the restaurant at the top of the tower, or watch a Turkish belly-dancing show inside the nightclub.

The top floor of Galata Tower is closed for renovation. Visitors can enjoy the view on the 7th floor.

The audio guide is provided free of charge by the attraction. Refunds are not available if you do not use it. If the attraction stops offering free audio guides, refunds will also not be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience.
