What To Expect
Umatsu Park is located to the north of Amanohashidate, and is an excellent viewing platform overlooking Amanohashidate, from which you can see the landscape of Amanohashidate's "Oblique Ichimon". If you look at Amanohashidate with "step down" (that is, bending over and looking backward from between your legs), Amanohashidate looks like a bridge in the sky. After arriving at Umatsu Park, it is recommended to visit the pine tree called "Umatsu" and the observatory called "the birthplace of the straddle view". Take the cable car (about 4 minutes) or the chair lift (about 6 minutes) from the cable car station next to the Rome Shrine to get to Kamatsu Park. There is also a bus to Chengxiang Temple.
